Tags are a fantastic accent for a page, a card, or even alone—but
sometimes they need a little decorative boost. Fibers are a wonderful
way to add a touch of texture, dimension and flair to a tag of any kind.
You can add fibers to a tag in two main ways: 1) Punching a hole at the
tag top and threading the fibers through, or 2) Knotting the fibers or
tying a bow and attaching with a Glue Dot™. Punching a hole is typically
how a group of lumpy fibers is attached to a tag.
Tying on lumpy fibers:
| Step 1. Punch a hole in
the top of your tag—the 1/16”
and 1/8”
punches are perfect for this—or insert an eyelet. |

eyelet. |
Step 3. Lay the additional fibers across the thin
fiber. |
Step 4. Tie the thin fiber around the lumpy fibers.
|
Step 5. Tie the lumpy fibers together. |

| Step 1. Measure the tail lengths from the end of
the ribbon to create tails of the desired length. Then make a loop
of the desired length. |
Step 2. Wrap the free end of the ribbon loosely
around the center of the loop. |
Step 3. Form a loop in the free end of the ribbon
and push it through the center loop. |
Step 4. Pull the loops in opposite directions to
tighten. Trim the tails at an angle. |
Adhere a Glue Dot™ to the back of the knot in the bow and press
onto the tag to attach.
(For a different look, you can also knot a piece of ribbon and attach
the knot to the tag with a Glue Dot™.)
